Notice for Hob Coating

As hob coating are done at high temperature under high vacuum, to optimize PVD coatings performance,please collect your hobbing tools with following information.

1, steel grade and speficiation for gear hobs with HSS M2, M35, ASP30, S390, S290, MC90

2, tempering temperature and hardness of hobs

3, highlight and specify the coated surfaces

4, notice the coating company if the dimension tolerance is less than 5um.

5, specify the hob application, so coating company can recommend a proper coating for your gear hobs.
